Camp Wapanacki
Hardwick, VT

Sad news after 17 summers of fun . . .

Unfortunately, Camp Wapanacki will not be open for 2010. Campers and staff had a blast as always at their “home away from home” this summer, but not all buildings were open due to safety concerns. Structural engineers, camping experts and our insurance company were consulted. Extensive repairs are needed. Reports are still being done to determine what the next step will be.

Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains remains committed to ensuring that every girl has a high-quality summer camp experience. Wapanacki  campers and staff are all invited to our other two resident camps next summer.  Besides seeing familiar faces next summer, campers will find similar programs, including Wapanacki’s Western riding program at Camp Farnsworth.

We know this is difficult news to hear,  but we hope you’ll take us up on our offer of another summer of fun, adventure and friends in 2010. If you have further questions, please call Carrie Green Director of Outdoor Programming, COO Tracy Gillick, or CEO Patricia Mellor at 888-474-9686.
