Dear Parents,
First, I would like to personally thank you for your support of your daughter's Girl Scout experience. Your efforts and encouragement ensure the success of our leadership development program in developing girls, including your daughter, who make a difference in the world.
As the Chief Executive Officer of the Girl Scouts of Green and White Mountains, I am excited to introduce you to our upcoming 2010 Cookie Sale Program!
I hope we can count on your full support of your daughter's cookie goals. All funds from the
sale of Girl Scout Cookies stay within our Council to benefit your daughter, her troop, and the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains. Cookie proceeds directly support our outdoor program facilities, the 250+ programs we put on for girls, leadership training, and financial aid.
Cookies are just the beginning of a program that helps your daughter learn essential skills, including:
- Goal-setting
- Confidence
- Teamwork
- Early business and marketing skills
- Communication skills
- Money management and financial literacy
Through it all, your daughter has
fun and makes friends for life. Girls who sell more than 50 packages can earn Cookie Dough to help them pay for camp and other programs - a real confidence-builder! How can you help her grow?
- Ask about her troop's goals and personal goals
- Help her practice her sales message
- Review safe selling tips
- Help her learn how to make change
- Encourage her to sell beyond family and friends
- Become a Troop Cookie Volunteer
Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains serves 17,000 girls across New Hampshire and Vermont. The opportunities are vast and provide wonderful benefits for all of the girls.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve your daughter through Girl
Scouting. When you support your Girl Scout's efforts, you’re truly helping
her to build courage, confidence, and character.
Sincerely,
Patricia K. Mellor, CEO
