Fall Product Sale Program —
Important Facts & Dates

Facts

  • Each girl must be a registered 2011-2012 Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains member to participate in the Fall Product Sale Program.
  • Each girl must have a signed parent/guardian permission form on file with her troop before participating in the Fall Product Sale Program.
  • All incentives are earned individually, by each girl.
  • Sisters must each sell the required number of items for each incentive.
  • Girl incentives are shipped directly to your Service Unit at the end of the sale. The Incentives should be picked up and distributed to the girls as soon as possible. DO NOT hold incentives. The girls should receive them immediately.

Dates

  • Before Sept. 23:
    • Attend your Community's training for Troop Fall Product Sale Coordinators
    • Access the NUT-E computer system at www.ashdonfarmsnute.com using your LOGIN and PASSWORD. The drop-down menu should say “2011 Fall Product Sale”. Follow your NUT-E Instructions.
    • Confirm that your troop (leader, troop FPS Manager and all girls selling) is registered for Girl Scout membership year 2011-2012.
    • Hold a Fall Product Sale girl and parent and parent training for your troop.
      • Introduce the program, discuss troop goals and plans, safety, sale deadlines and distribute the sale materials.
      • Have each parent complete a Parent Permission form. In the case of divorced parents, where girls may be taking FPS orders in two separate locations, have each parent sign a separate Parent Permission form, and give each a separate set of order materials. On delivery day, separate Mom’s order and Dad’s order, and have each parent sign for their own order.
  • Sept. 23 – Girls BEGIN taking FPS Orders
  • Oct. 31 – Nut & Candy order taking ENDS
  • Oct. 31 – Pay Later Magazine ordering ENDS
  • Oct. 31 – Online Magazine E-Mail orders END
  • After Oct. 31,
    • Enter each girl’s Nut & Candy orders, completed Address Booklets, participation in the Online E-Mail Magazine Program, Pay Later magazine orders and magazine orders resulting from online e-mails, into the NUT-E computer system.
    • Submit all completed Address Booklets and all Pay Later magazine orders (white copies) to your Community FPS Coordinator now. The customer keeps the pink copy, and the troop or Community should keep the yellow copy.
  • Nov. 19 – Delivery of Nut & Candy orders to Communities
    • Community FPS Coordinator will let you know the details of picking up your troop’s FPS Nut & Candy order.
    • Your Community FPS Coordinator will let you know when the FPS girl incentives arrive in the Community, and when you will be able to receive them. Incentives should be given to the girls immediately, when they will make the connection to the work they have done in the Fall Product Sale, and not held for end-of-year ceremonies.
  • Nov. 30 - Girls should have received their incentives from the troop.
  • Before Dec. 9 – As girls bring in their money, make frequent deposits into the GSGWM Product Sales bank account.
    • Use the deposit slips you receive at your Troop FPS Coordinator training session.
    • Base your deposits on the NUT-E T-2 form “Amount Due Council” figure.
    • Do not over-deposit; any money $25 or less will not be refunded.
  • Dec. 9 – End of Fall Product Sale
  • By Dec. 9 – Submit your final paperwork to your Community FPS Coordinator
    • NUT-E final T-2 Report
    • validated copies of all deposit slips
    • Alert Forms ( any the troop may have)
