Juliettes
Juliettes are busy, independent, self-confident individuals who want to be a part of something larger...Girl Scouts! They may be waiting for a troop to form, or waiting for a new year to start up. They may also find that they want to belong to the organization and take advantage of all the opportunities but cannot fit troop meetings into their schedule.
Who is a Juliette?
- Juliettes are registered girl members who are not affiliated with a troop or group.
- Juliettes receive publications from Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains such as the Program Guide and Summer Camp brochure so they are aware of program opportunities.
- If Juliettes gather together regularly to make decisions or attend events, they operate as a troop/group and all troop/group guidelines and policies apply, even if they appear to be leaderless.
What can a Juliette do? A Juliette can...
- Do all of the same things that Girl Scouts in traditional troops/groups do, but on her own.
- Wear a "Juliette" patch on her uniform in place of troop or group number.
- Receive all council mailings and program opportunities.
- Register and participate in council and community-sponsored events.
- Earn Girl Scout recognitions, such as Try-Its, Badges, Interest Projects, as well the Girl Scout Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards.
- Participate in the Fall Product Sale and the Cookie Sale.
