Our goal is to develop happy, healthy, and confident children. Gymnastics is a great way to achieve the physical and emotional well-being of children, as well as a fun way to exercise and release excess energy. Girl Scout Troops can plan an outing to utilize our full size gymnastics facility to meet their entertainment needs with lots of gymnastics, games, and physical challenges. The cost is only $5.00 per person for 1 hour of fun, with an option to extend the time to use our party room after gymnastics class is over for a snack, coloring page, and social time. Cold Stone Creamery Tours

Go behind the scenes and learn about how ice cream is made by making a fresh batch of ice cream and then then create your custom ice cream creation on a frozen granite stone. Contact the NH Corporate office to set up a tour at 603-880-3472.

Times: All Year, Mon-Fri After school to early evening. Tours are generally not conducted Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. Cost: $48 for up to the first 6 scouts/people then $8 for each additional scout to a maximum of 12 scouts per session (includes ice cream, certificate and patch when available). Leaders/Volunteers are usually just charged for any ice cream they want.

Requirements: All persons must wear closed toe shoes and a hat, long hair must be tied back under the hat.

Gunstock Mountain Resort is gearing up for another fantastic winter. They are continuing to make improvements around the resort to further enhance guests’ visits. They are offering “ Midweek Group pricing” Monday through Thursday! That’s right… only $25.00 per person all ages for prime time tickets. AND they have dropped the group size to 12! This group size is for Monday through Thursday only. The weekend pricing starts on Friday and is still the 20 person minimum. K-READY KIDS literacy drive
United Way Greater Seacoast

April 15 - May 3, 2013 - With the help of volunteers throughout the Greater Seacoast, they’ll be providing 1,000 pre-K children with book bags containing 2 new books, literacy related supplies, information for parents and a “Get Ready for Kindergarten” calendar. This will be for pre-K children throughout Strafford and most of Rockingham Counties.
United Way is supplying the bags, and they are looking for volunteers and groups to collect/donate books and the literacy supplies. There are many, many ways to get involved from collecting crayons, scissors and other approved supplies, to doing fundraisers to purchase books. If any leaders are interested, they providing information/training sessions on how to participate. Visit their website for more details .


Kalily Studio

An independent art center in Epsom, NH welcomes your troop to come in and create. Reserve a time to hold your meeting and do a special project; many options available to fit your budget with projects ranging from $5 to $20 per person, evenings and Saturdays available. Some projects may qualify for badges. Also being offered: basic weaving, learn to knit or crochet, recycled T-shirt scarves, painting with acrylics on canvas, and more. The Lion King at Stockbridge Theater in Derry NH

McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center

A 2-hour workshop can be tailored for all Girl Scout pathways to help complete new badges and journeys in the “Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting” and the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Workshop includes a planetarium show and hands-on activities. Special requests from individual groups will be considered. Cost for 10-20 participants $15 per person. McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center- Overnight Adventure!

Enjoy an evening under the stars with an Overnight Adventure! The program includes guided exhibit exploration, hands-on activities, planetarium show, evening snack, and visit to the observatory featuring telescope viewing (weather permitting). Cost is $50 per person, with one free adult leader. At least 45 participants or a minimum payment of $2,250 for smaller groups is required to run the program. Mount Sunapee Resort and Adventure Park

The new Adventure Park is now open at Mount Sunapee Resort and the Canopy Zip-Line Tour is the signature activity. It is a 2 ½ hour guided tour featuring eight zip-lines up to 1,000 feet long, three rappels and rope bridges. Participants must be at least 10 years old and weigh at least 80 pounds. Each tour includes two guides and eight participants.
They are making a special price of $30 per person available midweek (Monday through Friday) for bona fide youth organizations including Girl Scouts. The regular price is $65 per person. There is a minimum of 16 participants to receive this rate, which fills two Canopy Zip-Line Tours. More participants are welcome.

All participants will need to have a liability release signed by a parent or guardian. If parents or guardians sign a blanket release for all outings related to a camp or program, copies of that release will suffice.

The New Hampshire Department of Agriculture: Invasive Insects

The New Hampshire Department of Agriculture, Markets and Food is administering a USDA APHIS and US Forest Service joint project with the goal of providing outreach to school-aged children about ALB and EAB. This ties in very well with the Girl Scouts Forever Green Project- in leading their communities and peers to protect their natural resources. Kidpower Vermont Safety Workshops

Girls increase safety and confidence by learning assertiveness, boundary-setting, and self-defense skills in our lively, encouraging workshops. Kidpower is a nonprofit leader with 22 years of experience providing training to protect kids from bullying, abuse, abduction, and other violence with effective, age-appropriate safety skills. Visit the Vermont History Museum!

Scout troops are welcome to visit the Vermont History Museum in Montpelier. At the Museum, Scouts can participate in a self-guided tour or scavenger hunt, free of charge. Scout troops can visit the Museum Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
