These patch programs were developed by Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains with patch requirements and activity suggestions for troops, groups or individual girls. Packets are available at the Bedford, NH Corporate office reception desk or from Carrie 603.627.4158 x147. You can download and print the patch programs packets by clicking on the program name. All of these programs have patches, and some even have add-on mini patches so they can be done year after year! |

It’s Your World, Change It!
Take Action by educating and inspiring others to vote. – all levels
To earn a Get-Out- the-Vote Certificate from Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains and be recognized on your District page on the GSGWM website, complete one (or more) Discover activity, one (or more) Connect
activity and one (or more) Take Action activity. You can work to complete these activities during the Primary
Election; your 2012 local elections; or the November 6, 2012 Presidential Election (or during all three). |
Be Your Best - all levels
This patch program will help you “Be Your Best” while you Discover, Connect and Take Action to help an organization that helps others (i.e. animal shelters, American Red Cross, Salvation Army, nursing homes, etc.) Plan your own activities to bring out the best in each of you.

Cabot Calcium Challenge - The 3-A-Day Calcium Challenge Patch program encourages Girl Scouts to learn about the importance of calcium in a healthy diet.

City Market Onion River Co-op, Burlington, VT Troops/girls can either go to City Market in Burlington or City Market has the option of sending someone to the troop!! If the conference room is available they are more than willing to let troops use that space to work on some of the other patch requirements. The sugaring season is a wonderful part of Vermont and New Hampshire culture. Complete activities to explore the history of maple sugaring and find out the secrets to making the “sweet stuff”! |
Operation Snowflake – all levels
Learn about the effects of cold temperatures and snow, especially in New England, as you choose and complete activities to earn this fun winter patch. Girls earning this patch for the first time, earn the large patch and their first snowflake. Girls can complete new activities and continue to add snowflakes to their large patch year after year.

Pen Pal Network BR JR CA SR AMB
The U.S. Girl Scout Pen Pal Network is at least a one-year commitment. Please be prepared to give time every month towards this program. In addition to the pen pal link you will receive a packet with ideas for corresponding with your troop.

The Flat Juliette program is a digital scrapbook program that promotes international literacy and friendship. It is based on the Flat Stanley/Stacie projects, started by a school teacher.
In the Flat Stanley/Stacie book, Stanley/Stacie get flattened while sleeping one night by a bulletin board. They are very surprised when they wake up and find they are flat! Their parents try and think positively about this change and tell them, they can visit anyone and anywhere because they fit in an envelope and its cheap to mail! More info. |

This program provides your troop with the opportunity to take a look at the importance of understanding, respect, compassion and acceptance of themselves and others. This patch program was developed to provide Girl Scouts with an opportunity to learn about healthy relationships and domestic violence. Additionally, this patch program will provide participants with knowledge and skills for addressing domestic and dating violence in their lives and the lives of their friends and families. |
