Poachers Destination 2013

An opportunity for girls ages 12 – 14 to travel to England, spending two weeks traveling and exploring and one week participating in Poacher a week long “camp” where our girls will camp with girls from around the world, learn new skills and make new friends.  Applications are due August 15, 2012 at that time chosen girls and adult chaperones will plan the details of the trip.

Note: A troop that travels as a group is still operating in the Troop Pathway, not the Travel Pathway. Troops planning extended and international trips, click here for information.

Girl Scout Pathways — Travel

The Travel Pathway offers girls leadership opportunities and cross-cultural understanding through local, regional, national, and international travel. Girls prepare, plan, money-earn and participate through group travel, Council or nationally sponsored trips. This is either a short-term (4-6 months) or long-term (6-16 months) group.

Plan a week of day trips around New England. Maybe you’ll head to the coast, go whitewater rafting or explore Boston’s Faneuil Hall. End your week with a day at Six Flags!
Bikes and Beaches

Challenge yourself as we plan day trips to explore New England on your bike and at the beach! Road or mountain bike and helmet required
Just Coastin’
Girls entering grades 7- 10

School, sports and clubs…you need a break! You and your unit will create a schedule when you arrive at camp. Hike or just hang out. You’ll finish with a day coasting through Six Flags, but you’ll have plenty of time to do ...whatever!
Rhode Island Rendezvous

Enjoy the coast as you explore the extravagant mansions, historic cliff walk and waters of Narragansett Bay. Plan your adventure in this fun oceanside resort.
Acadia Bound

We’ll go on a whale watch, explore the park, see the sunrise from the beach and talk to Park Rangers about careers in the outdoors! All while you enjoy camp!

Leaving from Camp Farnsworth

Road Trip

Grab the snacks and hit the road for a trip to the coolest places in VT. Sleep at camp and spend 3 days traveling by van to Ben & Jerry’s, Woodstock or wherever the road takes you.
Camp Swap
Entering grades 6 - 11

Can’t decide which camp to explore? Experience both! At Chenoa, challenge yourself at the tower and saddle up at Farnsworth. At both camps, you’ll enjoy all of our traditional camp activities. Note: Pick up and drop off from Farnsworth.
Vineyard Bikers
July 22- August 3
Entering grades 7-10

Bike to Hanover or Lake Fairlee while at camp. Then spend 5 days on Martha’s Vineyard biking 15-20 miles a day, exploring the coast and poking around historic villages. Road bike with suitable gear required.
