Girls hold the whole world in their hands and connect handNhand, heart2heart at the 2nd Annual Sister2Sister event! This year the girls are holding an Earth Day Festival to celebrate their roles as stewards of the world. Afternoon travel plans will be mapped out in your festival itinerary provided when you check-in at the welcome center. The festival will open with an Earth Day Ceremony at 1pm. The day’s leadership Journey: It’s Your Planet, Love It! Discovery stations will offer activities for cooperative learning. Connection intersections will offer challenges to learn by doing. Girl-led Green Teams from around the council will advocate for their projects at Take Action depots. Team displays will promote Girl Scout Forever Green Community Action Projects. Be warned, they are committed to their causes and determined to get you involved! The afternoon will end at 4pm with a group closing, Pledge for the Planet. Sister2Sister Council Patch designed by girls to celebrate our new council may be purchased at the event. Bring a water bottle. You are welcome to arrive early and bring a picnic lunch to enjoy prior to the festival opening. A designated picnic area will be provided. Portable chairs are recommended. Parking offsite with shuttle provided. Drop off and loading area provided onsite. This event is self directed and requires adult supervision. Adult members, Girl Scout families and community partners are invited too! Enjoy a fun weekend with something for everyone. Come and stay together while exploring your interests. Choose from a wide variety of activities from boating to candle making, yoga to rock climbing, swimming to jewelry making and ecology to archery. Older girls can specialize in water or climbing activities or try new activities. Leaders can plan to just relax or enjoy activities themselves. Evening all-camp activities allow lots of time to meet other troops. Fee includes all meals,
cabin, program supplies and supervised program.
