Council Volunteers work in a capacity that benefits the entire Council. They may be helping to organize all of the Cookie Cupboards, working as a committee or task group with the CEO or Senior Leadership or coordinating travel or virtual opportunities for girls in the entire Council. These volunteers do not work directly with girls.
District Volunteers work in a larger geographic area called a District. Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountians has ten Districts. In many cases, District-level volunteers support and train the Community Team volunteer in their area of expertise. These people are the experts in one functional area, like recruiting, product sales, registration or accounting. These volunteers do not work directly with girls.
Community Team Volunteers work in a local area, usually made up of several towns who work together as a Community. These volunteers do not work directly with girls, they support the volunteers who are working with the girls.
Direct Service Volunteers work directly with girls in one of the six Pathways.
