Winning Essayists will receive a GSGWM gift card and an invitation to our ToGetHerThere Luncheon.

One winning essay will be chosen from the following Girl Scout Levels: Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, and Senior/Ambassador.

Contest Details

Eligibility:  This contest is open to all registered Girl Scouts residing in New Hampshire or Vermont.

Essay Length:  Essays should be typed, double-spaced, with the following word length requirements: 

Daisy: 25-100; Brownie: 100-250; Junior: 250-500; Cadette:  250-500; Senior/Ambassador:  500-1000

Deadline:  Essays must be received by midnight on Friday, March 31. Essays will be reviewed by a panel of GSGWM volunteers and staff. One winner will be chosen from each of the age levels noted above.  

Essays must include the following: writer’s name, age, Girl Scout level, troop number (if applicable), and contact information (name of parent or guardian, mailing address, phone and email address). Essays may be used, in full or in part, by Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains for the purpose of promoting our organization and/or our programs.

Prizes: Winners will receive a GSGWM gift card, redeemable in the Mountain Top Shop or for use toward membership, camp, or program fees, and an invitation to our ToGetHerThere Luncheon. Our Senior/Ambassador level winner will be invited to present her winning essay at the luncheon.
