Lake Placid, NY Trip
Registration Closes at 11:59 PM ET on April 15, 2019
Enjoy a bit a history, shopping, hiking, exploring and more on a weeklong trip to Lake Placid, New York, a charming town located in the Adirondacks which has hosted two winter Olympics. Visit the Olympics museum, ride the gondola to the top of Little Whiteface Mountain, or play disc golf. Check out the ski jumps from the top, and watch a ski-jump show. Best of all, after a walk down the luge/bobsled track, you can actually ride the bobsled with their driver and brakeman – fast and fun!
While in town, you can check out all the tourist shops, eat out, and attend a free concert.
Accommodations are in a house where you can hang out and cook some meals. Excursions will include kayaking, visiting an animal rescue center, and a trip to Ausable Chasm, known as the Grand Canyon of the Adirondacks, where you can take a boat/float ride and hike through one of the oldest natural attractions in the United States.
