Camp Seawood welcomes Girl Scouts who have completed Kindergarten through grade 8. Campers can be dropped off at 9:00 a.m. and picked up by 5:00 p.m.. Families can join in the fun at camp on Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30 p.m. for family night.

For over 40 years our trusted and qualified staff have helped campers make new friends, learn new skills, and make great memories. Theme weeks keep things fun, and every camper has the opportunity to experience their favorite camp activities like sing-alongs, crafts, target sports and more!

July 6-10

Mini Makers	K-1	Get ready to build, design, and invent. Explore the exciting world of STEM through hands-on projects making catapults and harmonicas. Tinker, test, and experiment like real engineers and scientists. Take part in daily challenges, like launching paper rockets or building a bridge from spaghetti, with creativity and problem solving this week will be full of fun.	$350
Prehistoric Party	2-3	Explore and celebrate the past! From the dinosaurs to the cavepeople, learn what life was like on planet Earth millions of years ago. Try your hand at archeology as we discover how scientists learned about the different types of dinosaurs and how early humans survived without technology. We’ll dig up camp’s hidden secrets, stomp as dinosaurs to leave our tracks on camp, and make primitive tools to create our own cave paintings.	$350
STEM Superheroes	4-5	Discover the intersection where fantasy meets science! Learn about your favorite superheroes from movies and comics, our everyday superheroes in STEM fields, and become a superhero in your own community. We’ll test our superpowers through a series of STEM challenges. Calculate the speed and trajectory of your arrows, engineer a crane from natural materials, protect an egg from a drop, and find the math in nature. How will you save the world?	$350
Program Aide Training	6-8	Program Aides are role models for younger Girl Scouts. Work towards the Cadette Program Aide Award by learning and developing your strengths as you prepare to work with younger campers. Enjoy a fun camp week while learning to create and facilitate activities. Learn how to get to know your group, explore what type of leader you want to be, assist and observe camp staff, set goals, lead activities, and reflect on your growth as a leader.	$350

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration. During registration, the total price of your camp choice will be a combination of the $100 deposit PLUS the cost of the activity for the week chosen. The total price of any session, including the deposit, is shown above and in our camp brochure.

Counselor in Training (CIT)	9, 10	Counselors-in-Training (CITs) are role models for younger Girl Scouts who are ready to take the next step in their leadership journey and are interested in becoming a day camp counselor. CITs in the first year of their training will learn about age characteristics of children, explore conflict resolution, and behavior support techniques while continuing to enjoy camp activities with other CITs. Interview, observe, and assist camp staff, lead group activities like songs and games, and make a difference as you continue to develop your leadership skills. CITs in the second year of their training will continue to put your skills into practice and dive deep into the responsibilities of a camp counselor. Plan and lead activities for younger campers, facilitate a service project, practice creating schedules, and practice effective group management techniques. Increase your skills in specific activity areas that interest you and shadow program or administration camp staff to see how they support camp.	$600

Mix it Up!	K-1	Mix it up this week as you create something surprising and new! Try out painting, sculpting, beading, and more. Then discover how different types of arts and craft materials can mix to create awesome projects. We’ll make watercolor art with crayons, sculpt mosaic vases with clay and colorful tiles, make stamps from nature, and paint with yarn. What media will you mix?	$350
Fashionistas	2-3	Roll out the red carpet, the fashionistas are making their grand debut at camp this week! Join us to find your style as we learn about clothing design, make our own clothing, and put on a fashion show for the whole camp. Spend the week playing games to learn about clothes from different time periods, have fun dancing to discover how clothes move, and make an outfit out of recycled items. You will get a chance to experiment with different materials and walk the runway like the fashionista you are!	$350
Paint Palooza	4-5	Invite color into camp as you paint with the world around you! Paint wearable art and make your own watercolor paints from pigments naturally found in foods and natural resources. Explore various techniques like salt and string painting and complete a collaborative project with everyone in your group. Spend the week filling your portfolio with watercolor paintings, LEGO block print paintings, spin & splatter paintings, and more, before coming together to paint the camp gaga pit for future campers to enjoy!	$350
Program Aide - Service Hours	6-8	Program Aides are role models for younger Girl Scouts. As a Program Aide at camp, you’ll turn some of your favorite activities into fun experiences for younger campers. In doing so, you’ll help build their confidence as well as your own. Practicing these leadership skills will help you lead in your school and other roles you may take on in your community. This week you will earn over 25 of community service hours helping lead younger campers. Cadettes who have completed the Program Aide Training can sign up for up to two weeks of Program Aide Volunteer Hours. A fee is charged to cover the cost of staff supervision, leadership coaching, material supplies, and a cookout meal.	$175

Curious Critters	K-1	Unleash your curiosity as you learn about the critters that take up residence on camp and explore their various habitats. Observe the birds and chipmunks in the trees, the bugs under the rocks and logs, and the animals that dash through the field! Make a habitat snow globe to explore different biomes, play games to identify animal tracks, and act out your favorite critters for your camp friends. What critters do you think you’ll see?	$350
Insect Investigators	2-3	Don your detective hats and bug nets for this week of camp. Use clues to search for insects on your letterboxing adventure. Make bug crafts, learn about bug habitats, and make a mini hotel for the camp bugs to live in. We’ll also set up and solve clues, make our own stamps, and hide bug-themed letterboxes for our Curious Critters to find. Campers will earn the Brownie Bugs and Brownie Letterboxer badges as we learn all there is to know about bugs and letterboxing!	$350
Flower Friends	4-5	Study the native plants at camp and discover what allows them to thrive in their environment. Learn about hardiness zones, the best flowers for each season, and how to save seeds to plant the next year. Then design your plans for your dream garden and do some planting for other campers to enjoy. Make flower crafts, learn about the importance of pollinators, experiment with sprouting seeds, and more. Campers will earn the Junior Gardner and Junior Flowers badges as we become flower enthusiasts. Don’t forget to pack your green thumb!	$350

Day camp needs adult volunteers to help campers build independence, learn new skills, and make new friends as part of the camp community. We are seeking adults who can chaperone transportation, spend a week at camp, or teach a special skill. Day Camp Program Aide
Available at Day Camps Only: Grades 6-8

Program Aides are role models for younger Girl Scouts. Deepen your understanding of what leadership and responsibility mean, in addition to enjoying all the fun at camp. Your Program Aide training will be completed during camp.

Camp Aide
Available at Overnight Camp Only: Grades 9-10

Spend time at camp continuing to discover what it means to be a leader and learning more about yourself. You will enjoy a fun week of all the typical camp activities while leading activities for younger campers, completing a service project, and helping to plan an all-camp event.

Counselor in Training (CIT 1 & 2)
This training program provides you with skills and knowledge you'll need to become a successful staff member. In your first year, spend time brushing up on your camp skills, practicing new leadership skills, and gaining valuable experience in working with campers. The next year, either take your training further to refine your skills by observing and assisting experienced staff and immerse yourself in working with an assigned camper group or take the leap and apply as a Unit Assistant (must be 16+) to put your skills into practice.

Consider a job at camp!
Day camp counselor positions are open for those ages 16 and older. Overnight counselor positions are open for those 17 and older. To apply, visit the Work at Camp page.

Interested in one of these leadership programs?
Register for these programs on the Events Calendar with your favorite camp; space is limited in these programs. To complete registration for the CIT program, campers will be sent an application and reference form in April and take part in a group interview before camp begins. The application, references, and interview have no impact on the camper participating in the program. They are used to begin to teach what it takes to be a counselor, help campers practice real life interviews and professionalism, as well as gauge current knowledge and skills.

Financial Assistance and Program Credits toggle arrow

Financial assistance (campership) is available for qualifying girls who are members of the Girl Scouts and the Green and White Mountains council. Program credits earned by girls who are members of the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains council may also be used to pay for camp. 2025 Program Credits expire March 31, 2026. 2026 Program Credits will be issued first week in May.

To apply for campership, or use your program credits, register online for the program your camper would like to attend. If you are not a Girl Scout, you will need to purchase Girl Scout membership. Under Included Items, you will see the options to apply for financial assistance, apply your 2025 program credits, or apply your 2026 program credits, toward your order. You may select any or all of these options, then proceed to checkout and pay the deposit with a credit card. You will then be contacted via email with next steps. Please reply promptly to expedite the process. Please note that selection of these options is not a guarantee that you have program credits or will be awarded financial assistance.

You may also fill out our Camp Payment Request Form to request earned program credits be applied to your camp order, or to request camp financial assistance, before or after registration.

Facilities:

Camp Seawood, located minutes from the New Hampshire seacoast and downtown Portsmouth, covers 38 acres of diverse natural habitat including tall pine trees, wetlands, and wildlife. Our camp boasts a low-ropes course, nature trails for hiking, a program center, an archery range, fire-circles, cabins and more.
