Welcome to the wonderful world of outdoor camping! Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains operates four unique camping facilities. Living spaces range from primitive sites to Adirondack shelters to winterized lodges.
A camping trip at one of our camps is a great way to introduce girls and adults to the great outdoors! Explore a piece of our camp properties below, or check out our Troop Camping Guide.
Camp Farnsworth, Thetford, VT 
Camp
Farnsworth, a 200-acre facility that can accommodate up to 300 people,
features a large pool, playing fields, a forest setting, and a private
50-acre lake which can be used for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and
ice skating. Camping facilities include small cabins, platform tents,
and Adirondack shelters. There are two winterized buildings that can
be used year round. All units and the Bunkhouse have beds with
mattresses. The Recreation Building has mattresses available. Each
unit has 7-8 cabins/tents and can sleep up to 32 people. All have unit
shelters, drinking water and toilets, which may be either flush or
composting. There is also a central shower house. Drinking water is
available May 1 – October 1 in camping facilities.
PLEASE NOTE: The Recreation Building is not available to rent during the cookie season as it is used as a cookie cupboard.
Camp Kettleford, Bedford, NH
Camp Kettleford is located on 30 forested acres along the shores of Sebbins Pond and Sandy Pond, just minutes from Manchester, New Hampshire. Camping facilities include 12 units, each with a large screened Adirondack shelter that can sleep up to 10-12 Brownies or 5-10 older girls. There is space near each shelter to pitch tents. Each unit has a fire pit and picnic tables. The Uncanoonuc and Kancamagus units, and the Lodge are barrier-free and wheelchair accessible. There are two centrally located composting toilet system buildings. Drinking water is available May 1 – October 31. An open pavilion is also available.
PLEASE NOTE: The updates to CTS 2 will take place this fall. There will be no running water and no bathroom access once the water is shut off for the winter. If you are interested in renting this fall, please reach out to Customer Care to discuss usage. Please also note that Uncanoonc is unavailable to rent for the foreseeable future as it houses the camp trading post equipment..
Camp Seawood, Portsmouth, NH
Camp Seawood is located on 38 acres of forests and wetlands on the outskirts of Portsmouth, approximately five miles from many New Hampshire beaches and minutes from downtown. Camp Seawood has two winterized buildings, Thaxter Lodge and Ranger’s Roost. Camping facilities include seven units, each with a large screened Adirondack shelter, picnic tables, and fire pits. Shelters sleep up to 10-12 Brownies or 5-10 older girls. There are several central pit latrines. Drinking water is available May 1 - October 31. There is space in each unit area to pitch tents. Sandpiper unit is barrier-free and wheelchair accessible. A pavilion with electricity may be rented separately.
PLEASE NOTE: The main area of the Ranger's Roost is not available to rent during cookie season as it is used as a cookie cupboard. The bathrooms are still available to those renting Thaxter Lodge.
Camp Twin Hills, Richmond, VT
Camp Twin Hills is located on 40 acres of forested land, with ravines, stone walls, an orchard and hiking trails. Located central to Vergennes, Burlington, and Montpelier, VT, Camp Twin Hills is a great place for troops to explore and camp. There are seven Adirondack sites (4 screened in, three open air), each with picnic tables and fire circles; an open air pavilion with a large stone fireplace, and the Pixie Cabin is a historic logging cabin with a woodstove and unique sleeping platforms that is a favorite with winter campers. Three large fields offer plenty of tent space or gathering space. The property has one latrine building, and the water system operates May - October.
PLEASE NOTE: The woodstove in the Pixie Cabin and fireplace in the Pavilion are not currently available for use due to repairs needed. The Pixie Cabin and Pavilion may only be rented in the warmer months or for day use.
