Come join us for a fun-filled day of hiking while earning a Math in
Nature badge. Learn how to tell time with shadows, use your senses to
understand nature, and get a spectacular view of Castle in the
Clouds's famed Lucknow Mansion! Led by the Castle's program staff,
girls will explore the Oak Ridge Trail while tracking their findings
and participating in various activities. Please plan for a 3-hour
moderate hike (dress in layers, and bring water and trail appropriate
snacks)! Badges covered: Daisy Math in Nature 2, Brownie Math in
Nature 1, Junior Math in Nature 2
Add our self-guided tour of
Lucknow Mansion (our Castle) and learn about how the lady of the house
lived in the 1920s. Then take time to stop by our 1950s pop-up program
to play with toys that may have been enjoyed by the mansion's second
owners and their grandchildren. Additional cost of $10.
