Date: Sat May 02, 4:00 PM EDT - Sun May 03, 11:00 AM EDT
Daisy and Brownies are invited to stay overnight at camp and
experience the magic at camp. You'll meet other Girl Scouts, build
fairy houses, hike in the enchanted forest on a glowing forest walk,
play glow games, and sing around a campfire. Enjoy a fun magical craft
and a cookout lunch before leaving camp.
This is a great
opportunity to get a taste of camp for your troop or Girl Scout where
GSGWM staff plan the activities and handle the meals. Adult volunteers
only need to have their Outdoor Adventure Workshop Training (OAW),
available online on your own time for no cost.
Facilitated by GSGWM team member(s). Designed for troops or
individuals with an adult chaperone. Badges/patches not provided.
Lodging will be in Adirondacks (5-12 people sleeping on the floor, no
mattresses provided) or you can bring your own tents. Each troop will
be assigned an Adirondack based on group size. Friday dinner and
evening snack and Saturday breakfast provided. This program requires
at least 12 participants to run.
Adult chaperones should
also register for this event to meet Safety Activity Checkpoints youth
to adult ratios. All adults attending must comply with all GSGWM's
policies and procedures. At least one adult must have Outdoor
Adventure Workshop (OAW) training (available online, no fee).
You will receive a detailed confirmation including arrival details and
a packing list by e-mail within two weeks before the program date.
Check-in time is between 4-4:30 p.m. EST with programming beginning at
4:30 p.m. EST.
Registrations that can be accommodated after the
registration close date will be subject to a $10 late fee per person.
