Community Service Bars
Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors
To earn a Community Service bar, first choose an organization you'd like to volunteer with. The organization will need to agree to give you instructions about the work you'll be doing. Once you've chosen your organization, complete at least 20 hours of service to earn the bar. Use this tracking sheet to have the organization sign off on your work. At 20 hours (or more!) submit your signed tracking sheet by mailing or delivering it to the Bedford office (1 Commerce Drive, Bedford, NH, 03110) or by emailing it to customercare@girlscoutsgwm.org. The Service to Girl Scouting Bar is earned by volunteering at least 20 hours to the Girl Scout organization. You can volunteer at a special event for younger girls, be an office assistant for your council or service unit, or help with special projects. This award is given to a Girl Scout who is a leader in her community. To earn the Torch Award, a Girl Scout must complete one Leadership Journey, and serve a full term in a leadership position at her school, place of worship, library, community center, or other organization that is important to her.
The Journey Summit Award Pin is earned by girls who have completed three National Leadership Journeys at their grade level. The colored border around each pin corresponds to their grade level. This award can be earned by girls in all program levels: Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador. This is the highest award that a Girl Scout Daisy and a Girl Scout Brownie can earn. Safety Award

Program Aide
Cadettes
This award is earned by completing GSGWM Program Aide Training, earning a Leader in Action (LiA) badge, and assisting younger girls by sharing your skills, passion, and experience for a minimum of 25 hours.
Program Aide Hours Logs are given during training. When complete, submit the log by mailing or delivering it to the Bedford office (1 Commerce Drive, Bedford, NH, 03110) or by emailing it to customercare@girlscoutsgwm.org. This award is earned by mentoring younger Girl Scouts outside of the camp experience. Your VIT project should span a three-to-six-month period.
