Alumnae Association

Girl Scout alums are adults who are, or ever have been, a registered member of Girl Scouts. Girl Scout alums have been known to willingly hike rugged trails, sleep on museum floors, cook s’mores over campfires, and stand at cookie booths in frigid temperatures to help girls develop self-confidence and critical skills to help them make the world a better place.

As a member of the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains Alumnae Association, you’ll have plentiful opportunities to have fun while continuing to discover new things, connect with fellow Girl Scout alums, and provide service to girls, the council, and the community at large.

As an alum, you’ll:

Discover a world of fun through travel and activities.
Connect with fellow Girl Scout alumnae throughout New Hampshire and Vermont.
Take Action and make the world a better place through council and community service opportunities.

Connect with Girl Scouts throughout New Hampshire and Vermont through our variety of fun activities designed just for alums. Activities have included workshops, networking events, travel opportunities, wine tastings, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, and more! Check out our activities calendar for a full list.

Volunteering toggle arrow

Would you like to volunteer for Girl Scouts but don’t have time to lead a troop? There are plenty of other opportunities based on how much time you have.

On your schedule:

Teach your special skill to troops for an evening
Help out with projects at the council’s service centers (Bedford, NH and Williston, VT) or at our camps (seasonal)
Host a gathering of alums in your area or place of work and help us build our alum network
Write articles and/or content for The Trailblazer newsletter, social media, etc.
Write letters to the editor on specific issues important to girls and women (we can help!)

From time to time:

Mentor a Girl Scout working toward her Bronze, Silver, or Gold Award

Monthly or Quarterly:

Serve on a council committee such as the Gold Award Support Committee
Grow your skills or share your expertise as a member of the Board of Directors or on one of the board’s committees as a non-board member (Finance, Audit, Governance, Advancement/Fundraising)
Join the Alumnae Advisory Board

Annually:

Help out at the Girl Expos in Vermont or New Hampshire (varies)
Attend the adult training/R&R weekend at Camp Farnsworth – share your talents and special skills with Girl Scout leaders and other alums
Pitch in during cookie season!
