Weekly Troop Spotlight: November 11, 2020

Troop Spotlight Header

Girl Scouts around our council are always active – camping, traveling, doing service projects, and making the world a better place. Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains invites all Girl Scouts in our council to share photos of their adventures, achievements, projects, and more. Send your photos to us at customercare@girlscoutsgwm.org. Be sure to include a description of the event, your troop number and levels involved, when it took place, and any other relevant information.

Gaga in Greenland

Girl Scouts are as handy as anyone with tools, and the Brownies and Juniors of Troop 51031 in Greenland used their hard-earned Girl Scout Cookie proceeds to buy $1,400 worth of construction materials and then built the game structure. They also requested and received additional materials from Lowe’s in Greenland. Troop leader Danielle Mojonnier said they built the pit with the help of their families.

“The girls wanted to build the gaga pit this year to help Greenland students find ways to play safely outdoors together while social distancing during COVID-19. We are so proud of our troop!” she said.

Honoring veterans in Somersworth, NH

Girl Scouts from Troop 10904 and Troop 60904 honored Veterans Day by participating in a ceremony at the new memorial in Somersworth, NH.

A few girls from Nashua, NH, Troops 10923 and 51595 placed flags on Veterans graves this weekend.
