Girl Scouts of all ages and their families, do you love State Parks? Come show that love to Monadnock State Park on Sept. 19! Choose from 2 sessions happening throughout the day-at 9 AM and 1 PM-to discover all the park has to offer under the knowledgeable guide of Rangers from the NH Student Conservation Association. All participants (youth and adults) can receive a Girl Scouts Love State Parks patch and an exclusive GSGWM Loves State Parks Sticker.
At 9 AM, you can meet at the White Dot Trailhead for a hike toward Mt Monadnock's summit with Ranger Trace. This hike will include Leave No Trace education and let you know why the chipmunks don't want your Chips Ahoy! Round out the afternoon at 1 PM with a geology exploration at the summit of Monadnock, delving into its "rocky" past!
How to Register:
- Girl Participant is any youth in grades Pre-K-12, regardless of membership status
- Adult Participant is any adult, regardless of membership status (should be age 18+)
- Family members age 3 and under are welcome to attend and do not need to be registered. Please keep in mind very young children may not be able to partake in all activities depending on level of difficulty.
Adult chaperones should also register for this event to meet the Safety Activity Checkpoints' youth to adult ratios. All adults attending must comply with all GSGWM's policies and procedures.
You will receive a detailed confirmation, including arrival details, by e-mail within one week before the program date. Check-in time is 10-15 minutes before the program start time.
Registrations that can be accommodated after the registration close date will be subject to a $3 late fee per person.
