Girl Scouts of all ages and their families, do you love State Parks? Come show that love Taconic Mountains Ramble State Park on Sept. 19! Join Park Manager Kylo on a mindfulness hike through mixed hardwood forests and high mountain meadows. Explore the beautiful Zen garden and practice mindfulness techniques as you hike through unique ecosystems. This is a moderate two-mile hike suitable for all ages.
There will also be an opportunity to participate in National Clean-Up Day, by connecting acts of service and giving back to the resources as you explore your role in the natural world. Be a true Girl Scout by using your resources wisely and leaving the park better than you found it, all in an effort to make the world a better place!
The program runs from 1:00-3:00 PM, but participants are welcome to arrive at the park starting at 11 AM for self-directed exploration. Program meet-up is at the kiosk in the parking lot of the park 10-15 minutes before 1 PM.
This program is facilitated by our partner, VT State Parks. Designed for families, troops, or individuals with an adult chaperone. Fun patch and sticker provided for all registered participants at no additional cost. No food or drink will be provided; please bring your own water and snacks. This program requires 10 girl participants to run.
