Girl Scouts around our council are always active – camping,
traveling, doing service projects, and making the world a better
place. Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains invites all Girl
Scouts in our council to share photos of their adventures,
achievements, projects, and more. Send your photos to us at customercare@girlscoutsgwm.org.
Be sure to include a description of the event, your troop number and
levels involved, when it took place, and any other relevant
information.
Guinea pig love
Girl Scout Troop 10427 of Raymond, NH, donated bedding, food, and supplies to the Guinea Pig Sanctuary in Salisbury, MA. They currently have 350 rescued and surrendered guinea pigs. They were able to help clean up, feed, and hold the piggies; received a tour; and got all of their questions answered.
Leader Jennifer Bateman said “It was so much fun to see the girls enjoy themselves while learning so much.”
Nottingham Daisies explore their world
Troop 62216 of Nottingham, NH, has been busy visiting new places and exploring science themes. In December they visited the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center and marched as bakers in a local parade.
In January, the girls made slime, assembled first aid kits, and visited their local fire station.
Perfect pizza makers
Nashua Girl Scout Troop 51605 enjoyed an early morning tour at Blaze Pizza in Nashua on February 12. The girls learned everything from safe food handling and sanitation all the way through step-by-step to how to make the perfect pizza. Their favorite part was learning about how the oven can cook their perfect pizza in just three minutes and, of course, eating their pizzas at the end.
Merrimack troop shows the love
Troop 62031 of Merrimack, NH, made 50 valentines for Meals on Wheels recipients. The girls learned about Meals on Wheels, what they do for the community, and how we can spread joy to those in need. The Girl Scouts also made pet blankets and toys that they donated to the Animal Rescue League in Bedford, NH, as the Daisy/Brownie troop worked on their Brownie Pets badge and their 3 Cheers for Animals Journey. The materials for these projects were mostly funded by the troop’s Fall Product sales.
Walpole around the world
Community 200 held its International Festival on February 19 at the Walpole, NH, Town Hall. It was attended by troops 62200, 59010, 13028, 20902, 59786, and 62168. These Girl Scouts did presentations on Germany, Ireland, Scotland, Thailand, France, and Japan.
Cookie booths begin!
Troop 51876 set up cookie booths at Martin's Hardware in Bristol, VT, and New Haven Town Hall in New Haven, VT.

Franklin’s in Raymond. You may recognize M&M, their troop leader,
as she's also the director of Camp Kettleford.

and Selena were totally into selling cookies at their booth outside of
the Epping Walmart on another weekend. Both are looking forward to
summer at Camp Farnsworth!
Junior Wednesday, a member of Troop 10097 in Berlin, NH, was happy to teach her sister Daisy Girl Scouts how to do a great job selling Girl Scout Cookies!
Some Girl Scouts are already making cookie donations. Brownie Addison of Troop 62711 brought a variety of cookies to the Londonderry, NH, Police Department, which they posted to Facebook.
