Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains invites all Girl Scouts in our council to share photos of their adventures, achievements, projects, and more. Send your photos to us at customercare@girlscoutsgwm.org. Be sure to include a description of the event, your troop number and levels involved, when it took place, and any other relevant information.
An ooky spooky good time

Meeting the Mounted Patrol
Troop 60533 in Bedford, NH, were finishing the Cadette Animal Helpers Badge and went to the Manchester Mounted Patrol to visit miniature horse Milly. The Mounted Patrol has two female officers - Officer Brianna Miano and Officer Kelly McKenney. Sgt. Derek Feather was at their visit as well. All three shared how they take Milly into schools, the library and all sorts of places. She definitely has a calming effect on the children around her. They also got to meet the Mounted Patrol horses, General Stark and Bruno. Milly showed off her new hair perm when Officer Miano took out her braid and Officer McKenney fluffed up her bangs. Bruno gave them the pleasure of bowing to them. Everyone had a great time and found it empowering that the Manchester Mounted Patrol consists of two women. The Manchester Mounted Patrol along with Milly is a nonprofit and relies on donations and help mucking stalls, brushing and cleaning the horses, as well as feeding them.
Helping feed the hungry in Nashua
The Brownies in multilevel Troop 51595 in Nashua celebrated Girl Scout Week 2025 by collecting food in memory of Nashua Girl Scout Rachel Brownstein, who died in 2016. The Girl Scouts hope to continue the drive and get 1,000 pounds next year!

The girls especially loved the tour of the armory, learning about the cannon, and swapping stories about badges and patches with the female soldiers.

Exploring future careers
Troop 12232 of Plymouth, NH, invited 12 women in various careers visit to talk about what they do for work. Each Girl Scout got 5-8 minutes with each woman to talk about their careers. Participating this year were an owner of a local farm, an artist, an Army representative, a local school guidance counselor, a woman who runs a homeless shelter, a university volleyball coach who brought her old Girl Scout sash, a leading female meteorologist from the university nearby, and police.
Leader Morgan said: This is the second year we have done this and both times it went well! The girls write up emails/letters that I send to the women. Last year we did have Sally Jensen attend for NASA. We invite women from all over our service unit (the police were a big hit both years).
