Lilybeth “Birdie” LaFevre (she/her)
Lily is the camp director at Camp Farnsworth. Having grown up in Philadelphia, PA, with her mother as a troop leader, Girl Scouts was embedded in much of her childhood. Weeks away at summer camp at Camp Laughing Waters and Camp Hidden Falls was a prominent part of Lily’s experience as a Girl Scout and childhood. With over 10 years of experience working with children of all ages as a teacher, school leader, and park ranger, safety is always a top priority. Lily believes whatever activity your camper is participating in this summer, making sure they feel included, comfortable and safe taking risks is paramount to the camp experience. This summer Lily is looking forward to helping the Camp Farnsworth community to grow and have campers build positive memories in the outdoors. In her "down" time, Lily loves horseback riding and traveling to national parks throughout the U.S. Lily looks forward to seeing your camper and family at camp this summer!

Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains summer camp staff are responsible, enthusiastic team members who are hired based on their interest and experience in working with youth in an outdoor setting.
They are high school students, college students, parents, teachers, and others who are often current Girl Scouts or Girl Scout alumni. Staff at all camps must meet American Camp Association and Girl Scout Safety Activity Checkpoints age requirements. At overnight camp, camp staff are candidates from all around the globe selected to help enrich your camper’s experience.
All staff (female, male, international, and domestic) complete an interview process, pass a background check, and attend on-site camp training prior to camper arrival. They are certified in CPR & First Aid and trained in outdoor skills, camp programming, and how to facilitate exceptional camping experience. This includes training on child development, behavior management, bullying intervention, abuse and neglect prevention, general camping skills, the values of Girl Scouting, curriculum planning and implementation, specific area responsibilities, and safety procedures.
They are excited to be at camp and ready to let campers lead the way in fun and adventure this summer! Most of all, they embody the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
